Safe Drug Drop Off

Just recently Los Angeles County Sheriff Baca launch the pilot of the “Safe Drug Drop Off”. Basically this pilot will accommodate people who want to dispose of their drugs and empty their medicine cabinet. Illegal drugs are also accepted. Drugs being basically toxic will help.

Narconon International representative spoke at the pilot launch press release and stated that Narconon is joining together in the project.

This is a good drug prevention project helping families to dispose of the drugs in the medicine cabinet safely.

The prescription drugs problem in the U.S. is greatly increasing and affecting our youth. Pharmaceutical and over-the-counter drugs are purchased by kids over the internet and very often taken directly from home in the medicine cabinet.

This is a good way of reducing substance abuse that could start right at home.

Prescription Drug Campaign Sponsored by Narconon of Georgia

Narconon of Georgia sponsored a program called “Operation Medicine Cabinet” in its local area.

This program was put in place to reduce the amount of prescription drug abuse in the area so that people weren’t dieing of overdose ect… according to the 2006 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 2500 teenagers between the ages of 12-17 try painkillers for the first time and prescription drugs are more abused than any street drug except for marijuana.

Narconon of Georgia is using the “Operation Medicine Cabinet” program to get rid of prescription medicine in a way that is safe and won’t allow others to take and abuse these drugs.

Narconon of Georgia is operating on a preventative ground on this program as they intend to stop people from abusing drugs and, thusly, divert them from the necessity of rehabilitation.

Narconon Trois-Rivieres Live Graduation.

The first Narconon Trois-Rivieres live graduation was a very heart warming event. I strongly urge you to watch this video to see generally what a Narconon graduate looks like and what the graduation itself looks like as well.

In the video there are three graduates of the Narconon drug rehabilitation program. Their names are Sean, Morgan and Cliff and they are presented in that order.

Sean is the first to come to the podium for graduating the whole Narconon drug rehabilitation program. Sean says that he came to the program for cocaine, but in his speech he corrects that and says he was addicted to feeling numb. Whether he used cocaine, booze or whatever he says he was using that to run away from his problems, however, using the Narconon program, he handled that problem and can now move on. He said he would hang with his brother and his friends and get ridiculously high and he could remember saying that he needed help. Here is a quote from Sean. “This afternoon I finally have the drive and the ambition and motivation in life again which at times I never though I would ever get back.”

Morgan is next to come up to the podium in the video. Morgan says that she was very excited because she wanted to get clean and sober. Before Morgan came to Narconon she was at a point in her addiction where she was in the hospital and she was dieing. She did her rehabilitation at Narconon Trois-Rivieres and graduated the program. Now she is definitely not dieing as she is no longer addicted.

Cliff is the last in the video to come up to the podium. Cliff begins his speech by saying he was addicted to drugs for 16 years. He said that he wanted to quit so many times but that it was so hard (so hard to quit his addiction.) Cliff said that he had headaches. But he said that at some point the headaches went away and thats when he knew the program was working and he said to a friend in the program that she was right and the doctor was wrong. The headaches went away and he knew the program would work for him so he said he was going to put 110% into the program. Now his addiction has been fixed and he doesn’t need drugs anymore.

Now you see Sean, Morgan and Cliff’s account of how the Narconon program helped them. I look forward to seeing more of these graduation videos in the future.

This graduate had an interview with Narconon about his success with the rehabilitation program. He has improved his relationship with his family, He has celebrated his birthday 5 times, and can remember it. He has handled taxes that he otherwise ignored while he was an addicted to drugs. He is setting goals and achieving those goals thanks to Narconon. He can work towards achieving what he wants to do to get what he wants. He has held his new job for 5 years, which is new for him because he has never been able to hold a job for very long until he finished his rehabilitation with Narconon. This graduate compared where he is now to where he was before and said that he only has Narconon and himself to thank for his drug-free life.

This man did a complete turn around from where he was to where he is now and has been drug-free for quite some time now. Thanks to Narconon Vista Bay for saving this man’s life.

Ex-Crystal Meth Addict from Narconon Speaks on Video

I’m going to start this story by telling that Will, the ex-drug addict, went through the Narconon® program and graduated roughly three years ago and has been clean since. Will’s drug of choice was crystal meth and he was practically dead when he decided to do the Narconon drug rehabilitation program. Needless to say, he survived and is doing fine without his addiction and even made a video of his story.

In his video, Will describes many of his experiences with meth and explains how bad it was for him. To quote, he said “That’s how you think, you’re irrational. There’s not a single rational thought in your head. What-so-ever. Like… I did coke, I could think rational, to a certain extent. I did crack, I could think rational, to a certain extent. Weed, I could think rational to a certain extent. Crystal meth… nothing, nothing what-so-ever. You’re like superman… I’ll have ten guys sittin’ here wanting to kick my ass and I’d be like ‘lets play’.” So with Will’s words you can see the drug totally messes with your mind. This addiction Will had wasn’t any small thing.

Will’s addiction was really destroying him and I believe this must be what made him come to Narconon. Here are more words from Will about meth and what he saw it was doing to him. “I had no regards for human life. If anyone got in my way I would get rid of them, I used to be a debt collector. I used to hurt people. I used to fight for fun.”

Unfortunately violence wasn’t the only side effect as I will tell you just how destructive his addiction was to him in his own words. “Crystal meth is like… Battery Acid. Its made with household products. I would honestly I’d cough up chunks of… I don’t know whatever it was, to me it was lung and I’d honestly, I’d poke it. Poke it and make sure that it wasn’t alive. You know you just sit there and you just… cough real hard and the next thing you know you’re like *spit* and you just, you look at it and you’re like, …. ‘what am I doing to myself’.” So now you see just how far down the road this man had to go to realize he had to get clean.

On that dark note Will gives his own shout out to other addicts to get clean. He said “If you’re rational. If you’ve got a rational sense…you can honestly…you can use this program. To anybody out there… If you’re willing to try any drug out there. Then… If you’re willing to try any drug out there… then you might as well be willing try any way to save your life” This is what Will has to say about the Narconon rehabilitation program and it really hits hard if you read this and/or watch the video of this man’s story. The content I have just given you only quotes Will, however, the Narconon video is not only an interview of him and his addiction, but of his mother and her suffering as well. Drug addiction doesn’t stop at you and your budget. It hits you, your family, your friends and humanity as a whole. Three cheers for Will and his triumphant victory over meth and addiction and a wish that he stays clean for as long as he lives (he’s already been clean for three years). Narconon Georgia Drug Rehabilitation Graduation Speech

I’m going to tell you a little about a man, Matt, more specifically his 180 degree turn when he did the Narconon rehabilitation program in Georgia. Matt was a drug addict. He was living his life as an addict getting high and destroying himself with his addiction. Although I don’t know what his drug of choice was that is not really the point. As I said earlier this man was a drug addict, which implies that he isn’t now. Matt got clean using the Narconon rehabilitation program and now is living a healthy drug-free life.

During the early stages of his drug rehabilitation the ex-addict, Matt, was a bit confused and surprised. He explains how hard it was for him to adjust to the people around him in Narconon. He says “I was confused by what I say around me. I saw sickness, I saw the end result of years of drug use. These people were attacking me as they had attacked themselves. They were in pain and they were scared. In them I saw myself, I saw what I had become. I remember being frustrated, angry and doubtful. There were those around me who wanted to help. I began to feel better despite all my doubts. I was annoyed at the fact that what I was being asked to do seemed to be working.” The early stages of any addict in rehabilitation isn’t a walk in the park but Matt most certainly pulled through.

Matt also talks about what the sauna did for him. He says “[The] Sauna quickly brought me back to health. My awareness of everything returned to normal. I began to smile and joke again and I felt relief.” The sauna is a key step in dealing with addiction as it takes care of the majority of cravings.

Matt also said these words, during his speech, about the end of his rehabilitation. “Every part of the program has given me something valuable. While the beginning was difficult even that served its purpose. The hope I had to return to the same life I had before has not come through. It has been replaced by the realization that I am in control of where I go and what I do, I believe now that I can be happy, that people will see me for who I am. I have learned much more than how to stop using drugs, I’ve learned who I am and who I can be.” At the end of the Narconon program Matt no longer had an addiction to drugs and was finally free from his addiction.

So as you can see, Narconon has really helped this man get rid of his addiction. On top of that the man is back to the way he was before he started using drugs, the true meaning of rehabilitation.
